GLOW BEAUTY PLANT-BASED (VEGAN) GREEN SMOOTHIE

We have a DEEP LOVE for HEALTHY smoothies ~ such a GREAT way of increasing your daily intake of vegetables and fruits, fibre and antioxidants...

ALL OF WHICH ARE KEY FACTORS IN OUR NUTRITION FOR BEAUTY AND ANTIAGING ARSENAL!!

A KEY POINT: Ensure your smoothie is VEGGIE LOADED to help keep things in check! We recommend using about 1 cup total of FRUIT (ie. combination of 1/2 cup berries + 1/2 banana) and make up the rest with VEGGIES, PLANT BASED PROTEIN POWDER, NON DAIRY MILK or WATER, AND HEALTHY FAT! 

Loading smoothies with SUPER FOODS + PROTEIN + FIBRE really helps to keep you feeling satiated longer and helps to decrease the overall impact on blood sugar levels.

Using the whole vegetables and fruits (wash the produce well and leave the skin on...buy organic if possible) and BLENDING it all increases the overall fibre content of the smoothie - and who (or whose body) doesn't LOVE that?!

GLOW BEAUTY SMOOTHIE RECIPE (MAKES 2 SERVINGS):

INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup kale
1/3 cup baby spinach
1/3 cup collard greens
1/2 cup watercress
1/4 cup fresh 
parsley
1 celery stick
7 chunks frozen pineapple 
1/2 avocado 
Ginger and lemon to taste
1 cup Unsweetened Almond Coconut Milk Ice Cubes
(freeze Unsweetened Almond Coconut Milk ahead in ice cube trays)
1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Coconut Milk
1 scoop PLANT-BASED VEGAN PROTEIN POWDER

We used Kaizen's Natural Vegan Protein Powder
= this provided 25 g of non-GMO multisource plant-based protein!

DIRECTIONS
Blend the greens first and then add the rest of the ingredients - blend until smooth and enjoy!
